How to Get Cards
Get cards by completing quests, participating in raids, buying from wandering merchants, and more.
As you journey through Arkesia in Lost Ark, you'll collect cards from in-game activities. These cards are added to your Card Deck. You can equip specific Card Sets (combinations of cards) to unlock additional bonuses that enhance your character's power. Cards are part of a long-term progression system, designed to gradually and passively increase your strength.
Find cards in your inventory [I] after you receive them. Add cards to your Card Catalog by right clicking on the card in your character inventory.
[Tip!] Automate adding cards to your catalog by setting up the auto-save feature, which is located in the top right of the “Enhance tab” of the Card Catalog [Alt+C].
Your card collection is shared across your roster, but if you don't register a card, you won't receive its effects. We recommend registering cards as soon as you receive them.
Set up card notifications
Track specific cards by clicking their notification icon. You can set up to 60 card notifications. Tracked cards will be highlighted in card packs, inventory, tooltips, and other interfaces.
Types of Cards
There are two types of cards:
Regular cards: Used to build your card deck.
Experience (XP) cards*: Used to upgrade cards.
The border color of a card indicates the card's rank: Normal < Uncommon < Rare < Epic < Legendary.
*Note: XP cards are not stored in the Card Catalog like regular cards. Instead, they are converted into Card XP. You can see how much Card XP you have in the Enhance tab of the Card Catalog.
Card Effects
You'll get benefits like boosted stats or additional damage to enemy types when you equip a full set or complete a book.
Card Awakening
When you get a duplicate card, it will stack. The entry in your Card Catalog indicates how many copies of that card you own. If you get enough duplicates and Card XP to reach the Awakening target listed for a card, you'll be allowed to upgrade, or Awaken that card. Use the Enhance tab in the Card Catalog to Awaken cards.
Card Catalog
Manage your collected cards, organize card sets, and Awaken cards in the Card Catalog.
Use Roster > Card Catalog in the bottom right UI tab or use the [Alt+C] shortcut keybind to see the Card Catalog.
Equip tab
Configure and equip card decks in the Equip tab to activate set effects. Each deck holds up to 6 unique cards.
To build a deck:
Right-click or drag cards into slots to equip them
Equip two or more cards from the same set to activate set effects
Additional effects unlock as you increase card Awakening levels
Check the effect of card sets by hovering your cursor over the [Magnifying Glass] icon.
The Current Set Bonus pane shows your active bonus effects.
Click [Save] to apply the deck to your character
Only one deck can be active per character. View and change your active deck through the Character Info window [P].
Tip: Each character can save different card decks to suit their needs. You can also view other players' card decks through their Character Info [Ctrl+right click].
Books tab
The Books tab displays cards grouped by their lore and story connections in Lost Ark. Each book contains thematically related card sets. Completing these sets provides roster-wide benefits like increased stats or additional damage against specific enemy types.
The types of sets and the number of cards that make up each set are displayed in the list in the pane on the left.
The bonus from your collected books is displayed on the right in the "Total Books Bonus" pane.
Enhance tab
The Enhance tab displays all cards in your collection. You can sort cards by rank, awakening level, and rarity. You can also delete unwanted cards to gain Card XP.* Crucially, this tab is where you Awaken cards to increase their power.
*Note: Deleted cards cannot be recovered!
