When bringing updates to Arkesia’s western shores from Smilegate RPG, there’s a lot that factors into our decisions and process. With the highly sought-after balance changes that recently released in Korea, we wanted to let players know we hear their feedback and give a look into our process.

We wanted to share some key information leading up to the August “Rise of the Valkyrie” Update, as we’ve locked in some policies and key changes we know you’ve been looking forward to!

Combating bots and player-to-player real money transactions (RMT) is a key focus of our team. While we can’t share all of the measures that our team is taking, we wanted to reiterate our policies.

We wanted to give a quick follow-up on one issue we’ve been encountering since the update— the current block on Hell Keys.

We wanted to take a moment and provide an update on our plans for two important things arriving next month; the upcoming region merge and Ladon/Echidna.

A bug was identified with Ignite reward chests, which some players were able to repeatedly exploit. Our team has been investigating the extent of the issue, and wanted to communicate our decision on the penalty for those who abused the exploit.

While the maintenance took longer than expected (don’t fear, a compensation will be sent to all players in the near future), our team has had a blast watching players experience the new story, try out new character builds, and use the progression event to get characters ready to face Kazeros— and the next threat on the horizon— Serca.

We wanted to take a moment to discuss recent ban waves, publicly share some updated plans related to one of the core tenets of the Amazon Games Code of Conduct— Play Fair. Specifically, we want to discuss the ban waves, and provide a few policy reminders related to RMT and botting behavior.

Members of our team joined Smilegate RPG in South Korea last week to look at the roadmap, improve tools and processes, fight the war on bots together, and more as we continue our collaboration. Coming out of those meetings, we have a few topics we’d like to discuss before sharing a sneak peek at the June and July roadmap.
