Paradise is experimental new solo content built to help increase player progression speed by adding new paths for you to earn a variety of impactful rewards.
The true combat depth only begins once your new seasonal gear called Legacy of Paradise power reaches a certain level. For example, Paradise: Hell features a wide variety of unknown content and hidden mechanics, encouraging constant exploration and challenges.
It will have an easy difficulty so that it’s accessible to all players. At a high level, the goal of this system is twofold; deliver fresh experiences and give players an easy method of acquiring rewards on a per character basis for faster progression. Paradise is a new type of seasonal content with weekly activities that can be completed on each character. Season One will run from July 23 through November 12. It will provide both weekly and seasonal rewards, split into three distinct activities—Elysian, Crucible, and Hell. Your character must be Item Level 1580+ and clear the quest Blazing Flame of War in Kurzan South to participate.
Elysian
The first activity is called Elysian, a short monster wave defense style activity. Each character can enter a minimum of five times per week, with the opportunity to earn bonus entries. A wave can be cleared by getting rid of monsters within the time limit. Another wave can be challenged by selecting "Re-entry" if the character has remaining entry counts. Enabling "Auto-repeat" will automatically repeat waves until all remaining entry counts are consumed.
Defeating monsters in Elysian will grant loot such as Legacy of Paradise, Restoration Stone, Resonance Stone, and reforming materials.

Crucible Level Clear Rewards

Crucible
In Crucible, you attempt to 1v1 a boss in 60s with nearly all of your power coming from Legacy of Paradise Gear. There will be increasingly powerful bosses you can face throughout the season, with several available at the start. More will unlock as you farm better gear with stronger effects. There are 10 different levels. The first three levels will release alongside this update, while additional levels will be added in order every Wednesday as part of the weekly reset.
Each entry consumes one entry ticket. Entry tickets can be gained through Elysian drops, dismantling Legacy of Paradise, and the Paradise material exchange.
Once a boss is defeated within the time limit, the next level will unlock. If a player fails to defeat the boss in time, rewards will be granted based on the boss’ remaining HP% at certain thresholds. Clearing higher level stages in Crucible will also unlock higher level stages in Elysian.
Each Boss will have first-time clear rewards, including valuable items, unlockable based on the Boss' HP%, along with weekly leaderboard-based rewards. All rewards are character bound. Each stage's clear rewards can be claimed once per character for its first clear.
As your Legacy of Paradise gear can help you kill the bosses as fast as possible, any player can challenge and have the chance to be atop the weekly leaderboard. The weekly leaderboard ranks are divided by class, so each of your characters are only competing with players in your region with the same advanced class. Leaderboards are region-wide.
Ranking is assessed by following conditions:
Higher stage level
Higher DMG dealt
Faster clear
If the first three conditions tie, the higher Legacy of Paradise power will be put above on the leaderboard.
Weekly Ranking Rewards are granted based on the character's weekly Ranking progression with the weekly reset every Wednesday. Seasonal Ranking Rewards are granted based on the character's seasonal ranking progression as the season ends.

Hell
In Hell, there are 100 floors. Your goal is to descend as far as possible. Your key will have a grade and a rank. The better those are, the more floors you’ll be able to descend in your Hell run. Clearing floors will be easy, like a Chaos Dungeon. It’s more about trying to hit some lucky effects and descend as far as possible before your key runs out of uses.
Each descent randomly moves the character to lower levels (min. 1 floors to max. 20 floors). If there's remaining descent counts after combat, the dungeon will continue with repeated descents and combat. Players can also encounter lucky effects randomly or on certain floors, such as:
Bungee Jump - Adds +1 descent count (up to 1 time).
Flooding - Adds another reward chest choice at the reward selection (up to 1 time).
Abundance - At least one chest at the reward selection becomes "abundant" (up to 2 times).
Rocket Jump - Next descent guarantees at least +16 moves (no limit).
When your key is out of uses, you’ll receive rewards based on the grade of the key combined with how far you got, with at least three randomly picked reward chests. Chests have a small chance of being abundant, with a multiplier on the rewards within the chest.
Players will be able to choose from randomly selected chests that contain the following types of items, with different brackets and values for 1580 to 1639.9, 1640 to 1679.9, and 1680+:
Leapstones
Fusion Materials
Shards
Honing Support Materials
Gold
Silver
Bracelets
Processed Chaos Stones
Concentrated Leapstones
Circulated Leapstones
Random Legacy Gear Chest
Random Legacy Material Chest
You will be able to earn Hell Keys from a few sources, including your weekly placement in Crucible. While players atop the leaderboard will earn more keys, everyone who clears a weekly boss in Crucible will receive a few keys.
Combat System Features
In Paradise, attacks against monsters of higher grade automatically apply the Weak Point effect.
All attacks are treated as Head Attacks and Back Attacks, regardless of positioning.
Growth Elements
Most of your character’s power comes from the Legacy of Paradise seasonal gear. Only skill levels and skill traits are retained. The following growth elements do not apply in Paradise content:
Character gear, accessories, bracelet, and ability stones
Engravings
Card equipment and card collection effects
Gems
Ark Passive system (including Evolution, Enlightenment, and Elixirs)
Notably, stat distribution set in the Enlightenment tab is also nullified, so certain classes may need to adjust their skill points and skill traits accordingly.
Alchemy, Transcendence
Collectible stat bonuses
Skill runes
Pet effects
Legacy of Paradise
There are six parts to the Legacy of Paradise. Each slot has a specific part that can be equipped:
Censer
Whistle
Mask
Liquor Glass
Bell
Mirror
Its power is determined by the tier of the Legacy of Paradise the character is equipped with, along with the enhancement and the modification status of the equipped slot. Players can increase the Legacy of Paradise power by equipping a higher tier Legacy of Paradise or strengthening or modifying each slot. There’s also a quality system. Higher quality Legacy of Paradise provides better basic effects.
There are seven tiers of Legacy of Paradise, from Common to Ancient. The higher the level of Legacy of Paradise, the higher the probability of obtaining a higher tier. Legendary or higher tier Legacy of Paradises have special effects. There are 18 special effects, 3 types in each of the 6 parts. Additionally, Ancient tier gear with a star icon in their item explanation can be even higher powered. These Ancient gears have higher figures in special effects compared to other Ancient gear. Gear with one star is titled “Brilliant” while two stars is “Splendid.”
Legacy of Paradise Special Effects
Legendary tier or higher Legacy of Paradise have special effects. There are 18 special effects, 3 types in each of the 6 parts.
Each special effect has six elements: Damage/Time/Space/Emission/Distortion/Singularity. These elements can be amplified through subsequent modification. They affect the final damage and its activation type.
Restoration
Every Legacy of Paradise slot can be restored to increase its power.
Each attempt to restore a slot consumes one "Legacy of Paradise Fragment." Higher restoration levels require higher level Legacy of Paradise Fragments.
When a Legacy of Paradise is dismantled, a Legacy of Paradise Fragment of the corresponding tier is obtained.
The likelihood of success decreases as the resonance level increases.
Resonance
Each Legacy of Paradise’s Resonance Effect has its own unique special tag (e.g., Emission, Distortion) and elemental type.
Resonance Traits may include enhancement effects tied to specific tags or elemental types, allowing you to maximize the performance of Resonance Effects depending on how they are combined with your Legacy of Paradise.
Each Legacy of Paradise slot can be resonated if it is restored to Lv. 9 or higher.
Each resonance consumes one Resonance Stone, which can be obtained by farming in Elysian or dismantling Legendary or higher Legacy of Paradise gear pieces.
When Resonance is attempted, two random elements out of the six elements of Damage/Time/Space/Emission/Distortion/Singularity will increase, maintain, or decrease, respectively.
The Resonance effects of each slot are only activated when a Legendary or higher Legacy of Paradise is equipped.
Paradise Orb
"Orb" is a piece of gear that can be equipped in a separate gear slot outside of Paradise content. Players can earn an orb by clearing certain stages of Crucible.
The power of the orb increases based on the character’s maximum Legacy of Paradise Power reached. Characters with higher Legacy of Paradise power will have better orbs. That means that the power of the orb won't decrease even if the Legacy of Paradise power decreases due to a lower roll from Resonance.
At the end of the season, the power of the orb will remain at its current value. Players can earn a new orb with a different special effect and ability when the new season starts.
