Paradise

73 KB
24 KB
Paradise is experimental new solo content built to help increase player progression speed by adding new paths for you to earn a variety of impactful rewards.

The true combat depth only begins once your new seasonal gear called Legacy of Paradise power reaches a certain level. For example, Paradise: Hell features a wide variety of unknown content and hidden mechanics, encouraging constant exploration and challenges.

It will have an easy difficulty so that it’s accessible to all players. At a high level, the goal of this system is twofold; deliver fresh experiences and give players an easy method of acquiring rewards on a per character basis for faster progression. Paradise is a new type of seasonal content with weekly activities that can be completed on each character. Season One will run from July 23 through November 12. It will provide both weekly and seasonal rewards, split into three distinct activities—Elysian, Crucible, and Hell. Your character must be Item Level 1580+ and clear the quest Blazing Flame of War in Kurzan South to participate.

Elysian

The first activity is called Elysian, a short monster wave defense style activity. Each character can enter a minimum of five times per week, with the opportunity to earn bonus entries. A wave can be cleared by getting rid of monsters within the time limit. Another wave can be challenged by selecting "Re-entry" if the character has remaining entry counts. Enabling "Auto-repeat" will automatically repeat waves until all remaining entry counts are consumed.

Defeating monsters in Elysian will grant loot such as Legacy of Paradise, Restoration Stone, Resonance Stone, and reforming materials.

Additional key details

  • Entry level requirements:

    • Item Lv. 1580 or higher

    • Guide quest completion

  • New stage levels open based on the clear record of Crucible.

  • Additional entries can be earned:

    • Crucible Level Clear Rewards

    • Paradise Material Exchange

      • Hell Keys, Crucible Entries, Elysian Entries, and more can be exchanged for various rewards.

    • Field Boss (Random)

    • Azena’s Blessing

Crucible

In Crucible, you attempt to 1v1 a boss in 60s with nearly all of your power coming from Legacy of Paradise Gear. There will be increasingly powerful bosses you can face throughout the season, with several available at the start. More will unlock as you farm better gear with stronger effects. There are 10 different levels. The first three levels will release alongside this update, while additional levels will be added in order every Wednesday as part of the weekly reset.

Each entry consumes one entry ticket. Entry tickets can be gained through Elysian drops, dismantling Legacy of Paradise, and the Paradise material exchange.

Once a boss is defeated within the time limit, the next level will unlock. If a player fails to defeat the boss in time, rewards will be granted based on the boss’ remaining HP% at certain thresholds. Clearing higher level stages in Crucible will also unlock higher level stages in Elysian.

Each Boss will have first-time clear rewards, including valuable items, unlockable based on the Boss' HP%, along with weekly leaderboard-based rewards. All rewards are character bound. Each stage's clear rewards can be claimed once per character for its first clear.

As your Legacy of Paradise gear can help you kill the bosses as fast as possible, any player can challenge and have the chance to be atop the weekly leaderboard. The weekly leaderboard ranks are divided by class, so each of your characters are only competing with players in your region with the same advanced class. Leaderboards are region-wide.

Ranking is assessed by following conditions:

  1. Higher stage level

  2. Higher DMG dealt

  3. Faster clear

  4. If the first three conditions tie, the higher Legacy of Paradise power will be put above on the leaderboard.

Weekly Ranking Rewards are granted based on the character's weekly Ranking progression with the weekly reset every Wednesday. Seasonal Ranking Rewards are granted based on the character's seasonal ranking progression as the season ends.

Hell

In Hell, there are 100 floors. Your goal is to descend as far as possible. Your key will have a grade and a rank. The better those are, the more floors you’ll be able to descend in your Hell run. Clearing floors will be easy, like a Chaos Dungeon. It’s more about trying to hit some lucky effects and descend as far as possible before your key runs out of uses.

Each descent randomly moves the character to lower levels (min. 1 floors to max. 20 floors). If there's remaining descent counts after combat, the dungeon will continue with repeated descents and combat. Players can also encounter lucky effects randomly or on certain floors, such as:

  • Bungee Jump - Adds +1 descent count (up to 1 time).

  • Flooding - Adds another reward chest choice at the reward selection (up to 1 time).

  • Abundance - At least one chest at the reward selection becomes "abundant" (up to 2 times).

  • Rocket Jump - Next descent guarantees at least +16 moves (no limit).

When your key is out of uses, you’ll receive rewards based on the grade of the key combined with how far you got, with at least three randomly picked reward chests. Chests have a small chance of being abundant, with a multiplier on the rewards within the chest.

Players will be able to choose from randomly selected chests that contain the following types of items, with different brackets and values for 1580 to 1639.9, 1640 to 1679.9, and 1680+:

  • Leapstones

  • Fusion Materials

  • Shards

  • Honing Support Materials

  • Gold

  • Silver

  • Bracelets

  • Processed Chaos Stones

  • Concentrated Leapstones

  • Circulated Leapstones

  • Random Legacy Gear Chest

  • Random Legacy Material Chest

You will be able to earn Hell Keys from a few sources, including your weekly placement in Crucible. While players atop the leaderboard will earn more keys, everyone who clears a weekly boss in Crucible will receive a few keys.

Combat System Features

  • In Paradise, attacks against monsters of higher grade automatically apply the Weak Point effect.

  • All attacks are treated as Head Attacks and Back Attacks, regardless of positioning.

Growth Elements

Most of your character’s power comes from the Legacy of Paradise seasonal gear. Only skill levels and skill traits are retained. The following growth elements do not apply in Paradise content:

  • Character gear, accessories, bracelet, and ability stones

  • Engravings

  • Card equipment and card collection effects

  • Gems

  • Ark Passive system (including Evolution, Enlightenment, and Elixirs)

    • Notably, stat distribution set in the Enlightenment tab is also nullified, so certain classes may need to adjust their skill points and skill traits accordingly.

  • Alchemy, Transcendence

  • Collectible stat bonuses

  • Skill runes

  • Pet effects

Legacy of Paradise

There are six parts to the Legacy of Paradise. Each slot has a specific part that can be equipped:

  • Censer

  • Whistle

  • Mask

  • Liquor Glass

  • Bell

  • Mirror

Its power is determined by the tier of the Legacy of Paradise the character is equipped with, along with the enhancement and the modification status of the equipped slot. Players can increase the Legacy of Paradise power by equipping a higher tier Legacy of Paradise or strengthening or modifying each slot. There’s also a quality system. Higher quality Legacy of Paradise provides better basic effects.

There are seven tiers of Legacy of Paradise, from Common to Ancient. The higher the level of Legacy of Paradise, the higher the probability of obtaining a higher tier. Legendary or higher tier Legacy of Paradises have special effects. There are 18 special effects, 3 types in each of the 6 parts. Additionally, Ancient tier gear with a star icon in their item explanation can be even higher powered. These Ancient gears have higher figures in special effects compared to other Ancient gear. Gear with one star is titled “Brilliant” while two stars is “Splendid.”

Legacy of Paradise Special Effects

  • Legendary tier or higher Legacy of Paradise have special effects. There are 18 special effects, 3 types in each of the 6 parts.

  • Each special effect has six elements: Damage/Time/Space/Emission/Distortion/Singularity. These elements can be amplified through subsequent modification. They affect the final damage and its activation type.

Restoration

  • Every Legacy of Paradise slot can be restored to increase its power.

  • Each attempt to restore a slot consumes one "Legacy of Paradise Fragment." Higher restoration levels require higher level Legacy of Paradise Fragments.

  • When a Legacy of Paradise is dismantled, a Legacy of Paradise Fragment of the corresponding tier is obtained.

  • The likelihood of success decreases as the resonance level increases.

Resonance

  • Each Legacy of Paradise’s Resonance Effect has its own unique special tag (e.g., Emission, Distortion) and elemental type.

  • Resonance Traits may include enhancement effects tied to specific tags or elemental types, allowing you to maximize the performance of Resonance Effects depending on how they are combined with your Legacy of Paradise.

  • Each Legacy of Paradise slot can be resonated if it is restored to Lv. 9 or higher.

  • Each resonance consumes one Resonance Stone, which can be obtained by farming in Elysian or dismantling Legendary or higher Legacy of Paradise gear pieces.

  • When Resonance is attempted, two random elements out of the six elements of Damage/Time/Space/Emission/Distortion/Singularity will increase, maintain, or decrease, respectively.

  • The Resonance effects of each slot are only activated when a Legendary or higher Legacy of Paradise is equipped.

Paradise Orb

"Orb" is a piece of gear that can be equipped in a separate gear slot outside of Paradise content. Players can earn an orb by clearing certain stages of Crucible.

The power of the orb increases based on the character’s maximum Legacy of Paradise Power reached. Characters with higher Legacy of Paradise power will have better orbs. That means that the power of the orb won't decrease even if the Legacy of Paradise power decreases due to a lower roll from Resonance.

At the end of the season, the power of the orb will remain at its current value. Players can earn a new orb with a different special effect and ability when the new season starts.

Solo Aegir & Solo Mode Improvements

73 KB
24 KB
Aegir Solo has been added to the game, available at Item Level 1660+.

The new 2-gate Kazeros Raid will require you to face off against dangerous threats, both familiar and new. The rotting King of the Dead, Akkan, will unleash his horrifying attacks, even calling forth the tormented soul of the fallen Beast Legion Commander Valtan. Joining this unholy alliance, Aegir arrives, raining down a devastating barrage to crush any resistance to Akkan's plague. If you're able to defeat Akkan, you'll need to challenge Aegir within the Giant's body.

Solo Mode Exchange

  • The Solo Mode Exchange has been expanded to Tier 4, with T4 materials and gems, including:

    • T4 Honing materials

    • T4 Honing support materials

    • T4 Lv. 6 luminous gems

Solo Mode Difficulty Adjustments

Solo Mode has been in an interesting spot. It’s very easy for existing players, but for those brand new to Lost Ark, it can still be too challenging. With the return of Mokoko Bootcamp, we’re hoping that Solo Mode serves as a good tutorial for new players who can use it to learn how to play their class, practice their rotations, and develop a baseline understanding. Once ready, they can enter the full raid with their Mokoko status and continue learning with the help of veteran players.

Skin Collection Book

Skin Collection Book system has been added. It is a new menu that combines skin-related content, replaces the existing storage system, and illustrates and manages all the skins that exist in the game. It will add a ton of convenience related to skins, such as Skin Crafting, Skin dyeing, and linking to the Shop. You can freely wear all skins in the book whether or not you actually possess the cosmetics or not, allowing you to preview or plan outfits. The Skin Collection Book is releasing without the power increase and ranking systems found within other versions of Lost Ark. We hope this is a helpful tool for expanding your closet, but don’t want you to be pressured to collect every skin.

  • It can be accessed via the in-game menu (ESC) > Roster category or with a shortcut key.

    • It can also be accessed via the Pet function.

  • Skins can be registered to the collection book by either using the item or clicking the "Register All" button within the UI.

  • Both registered and unregistered skins are visible in the skin collection book.

  • Unregistered skins can also be previewed within the collection.

  • Identical-looking skins will be grouped into a single slot, even if multiple copies are owned.

    • You can check ownership details via the “Collection Status” section at the bottom of the UI.“

  • Skin Outfit Change via Preset

  • An auto-change feature based on the saved skin preset can be enabled.

    • Once per day, after 10:00 AM, your skin preset will automatically update when you log in.

  • From the skin collection book, you can directly access the following actions for registered skins: Search in Store, Craft, Dye, Auction House, Dismantle, Move to Inventory (for withdrawal).

  • Skins registered in the collection book cannot be listed on the Auction House or destroyed. To do so, users must first use the "Move to Inventory" function.

  • Skins can no longer be equipped or unequipped from the Character Info window.

    • You can still view which preset is equipped or switch presets from the “Skins” tab.

  • The previous Skin Storage system has been removed.

Content & Quality of Life Updates

73 KB
24 KB
Una's Tasks gets overhauled, Annihilation Gems and Doomfire Gems can be resonated into Luminous Gems, get or give in-game help via Mokoko Chat, and more.

Luminous (Bound) Gem System

Through the Gem Resonance System, users can now resonate Annihilation Gems and Doomfire Gems into a new type of gem called Luminous Gems, which feature enhanced functionality.

  • Gems can be converted through the Gem Expert NPC. Conversion is only available for Tier 4 gems.

    • If the same gem is equipped in multiple presets, converting the gem will automatically apply the change to all presets and replace them with the corresponding Luminous Gem.

  • Key Features of Luminous Gems:

    • Players can freely select and change:

      • Either Damage Increase or Cooldown Reduction effect

      • The skill to which the gem effect applies

    • Luminous Gems can be equipped alongside existing Annihilation and Doomfire gems.

  • The total number of equippable gems remains the same at 11, combining all gem types.

  • Annihilation and Doomfire gems can still be used, exactly the same as before.

  • Effects and skill assignments for Luminous Gems can be configured independently per preset.

  • Luminous Gems are bound to the character.

  • Gem Restoration & Reversion:

    • Luminous Gems can be reverted back into the Annihilation and Doomfire gem from which they were resonated:

    • The gem type and skill will be restored to its exact pre-resonated state.

    • There is no cost to calibrate or restore gems.

    • However, gems can only be restored after 15 days (360 hours) from the time of resonation. If you wish to restore the gem before the 15-day period, Crystals will be consumed.

  • Gem Fuse

  • Luminous Gems can be fused with Annihilation or Doomfire gems of the same level.

  • Fusing three gems of the same level (Luminous/Annihilation/Doomfire) will yield one higher-level Ignition or Explosion gem.

  • Even if a Luminous Gem has time remaining before it can be restored, it can still be used in fusing. However, using it in fusing will reset its restoration eligibility.

Character Bound Gold

Added character bound gold, which functions the same as regular gold for the following features:

  • Gear honing and advanced honing

  • Quality upgrade

  • Legion Raid and Kazeros Raid gear crafting

  • Elixir crafting and synthesis

  • Additional loot rolls for content rewards

  • Transcendence and restoration

  • Accessory refinement

  • Karma unlocking and level/rank upgrade materials

  • Character bound gold cannot be used for trading with other players, or on the Auction House/Market.

Una’s Tasks Revamp

The Una’s Tasks overhaul will be arriving. This was a big ask of the Western Audience, and was directly changed based on your feedback. Daily Una’s Tasks will be improved to help balance the amount of daily/weekly "homework" activity with the addition of the Paradise system. Daily tasks will remain, but once the reputation milestones are reached, the tasks will disappear. Daily Una’s rewards will be moved to weekly quest rewards.

  • Daily Una will now only provide Combat Experience and reputation.

    • If the final stage of a reputation has been completed, related daily Una’s Tasks can no longer be accepted.

    • Due to the daily task limit, the following are the only rewards granted upon Una’s Task completion:

      • Roster EXP, Combat EXP, Reputation points

  • To compensate for reduced daily task rewards, weekly Una’s Task rewards have been increased and expanded.

  • The '[Daily] Una’s Task +1' item can now be exchanged for various items through a dedicated Una’s +1 Exchange NPC in major cities.

    • This item can still be used as before to increase your available Una’s Tasks for the day.

    • Some exchange items have purchase restrictions.

    • The three types of Silver Pouches are roster-bound; all other items become character-bound upon acquisition.

  • The objective count for weekly Guardian Raid tasks has been changed from collecting 3 Guardian’s Will to 2.

    • If you complete a Guardian Raid while having Rest Bonus, the required count is increased by 1 instead of 2.

  • Completing daily Una’s Tasks no longer grants roster mission points, but completing weekly Una’s Tasks now grants 10 points per task.

  • The point reward tiers for weekly Roster Missions have been reduced from 5 stages to 3.

  • The maximum weekly point cap has been reduced from 70 > 30.

  • Rewards tied to point thresholds have been adjusted accordingly.

    • Additional reward tiers have been added for the following item level ranges:

      • 1640 – 1679

      • 1680 – 1699

Summer Explorer Ark Pass

A new Ark Pass arrives and adds new ways for players to earn impactful rewards just by playing Lost Ark. Players can complete missions to progress through 30 Ark Pass levels, and with each level reached, new rewards will be unlocked and earned. The regular Ark Pass is completely free and grants a variety of helpful rewards. Ark Pass progress is earned across your entire roster, and the rewards are roster bound. While all players will have access to the free Ark Pass, those interested in more rewards and cosmetics can exchange Royal Crystals for two premium reward tracks (Premium and Super Premium), which each layer in additional rewards to the leveling track. The Premium Ark Pass adds rewards at all 30 levels earned alongside the free rewards. Examples include more honing material selection chests, battle items, and more! On top of the Regular and Premium rewards, the Super Premium Ark Pass weaves the Explorer cosmetics, Summertime Octopus Pet Selection Chest, Summer Beach Ball Mount Selection Chest, Pheons, and a Legendary Card Pack through the Ark Pass.

Azena’s Blessing

Azena’s Blessing is a new optional store offering that grants similar items to previous packages in a new method— a per-character on-going boost that rewards playing the character and provides a multitude of benefits. The goal of this system is to offer an accessible way for players who wish to accelerate progression on specific characters. This complements our existing systems and events rather than replacing them. Azena’s Blessing can be activated for 28 days in exchange for 550 Royal Crystals (per character).

Azena Blessing Character Benefits

  • Exclusive Fate Ember Drops

    • Additional Fate Ember Drops from Chaos Dungeon/Kurzan Front, and Guardian Raids from an additional exclusive loot table.

    • Exclusive Fate Ember and Normal Fate Ember Drops are calculated independently. The Rest Gauge also affects their probability.

    • Three Drop Categories

      • Gold (roster bound)

      • Cards

      • Relic Engravings (random & selection, both roster bound)

  • Exclusive Chaos Dungeon/Kurzan Front Ether

  • Endgame Bonus Chests

    • Can be earned 3x per week upon clearing Gate 1 of any endgame content.

    • The bonus chest will contain one of the following items randomly:

      • Small Material Box

      • Medium Material Box

      • Large Material Box

      • 1,500 Gold

      • 3,000 Gold

    • The material boxes have the same contents as the material chests from Fate Embers. Players can choose between T3 or T4 materials.

  • +1 Weekly Elysian Entry Ticket

  • Persistent Food Buff

    • Persistent Food Buff effect while Azena’s Blessing is active:

      • STR/DEX/INT +6,000

      • HP +12,000

      • Combat Resource Natural Recovery +24%

    • If a player with Azena’s Blessing active eats another meal/food item, it will temporarily overwrite the Azena’s Blessing buff until that food item expires.

  • Daily Item Box

    • Azena’s Daily Box will give players a daily chest where they can select between a Fusion Material Box or a Honing Support Materials box and Leap Essence, for a small daily boost. Players can select between T3 or T4.

Veteran players may notice some similarities in the rewards ongoing and past events. Azena’s Blessing will not impact the return or scheduling of bonus reward events, and will remain active during those events in the future. We hope this proves to be an accessible solution for players, while providing substantial value for characters that players want to accelerate.
