Spotlight

Jump-Start Servers

Players on Jump-Start servers will receive materials that provide faster vertical and horizontal progression, including honing materials, card packs, and more! Find details on some of the ways we plan to help players level up in the Events & Rewards section. Players will get a South Vern pass to “Jump-Start” a character immediately to Item Level 1415. There will be a server available in each region:

  • West - North America - Lauriel

  • East - North America - Azakiel

  • Europe Central - Kayangel

  • South America - Elgacia

Jump-Start servers will be isolated from other servers, with independent PvE matchmaking, Party Finder, Marketplace, and Auction House (PvP matchmaking and rank will be shared with the rest of the region). This allows restarting players to have an independent experience that’s unaffected by existing servers/regions. We will be closely monitoring the progression and populations of Jump-Start servers, and plan on reconnecting Jump-Start Servers with their respective regions within the next six months.

We’re excited to announce that players who purchased the Founder's Pack originally at launch will find a Jump-Start version in their Product Inventory. Players will be able to see the Jump-Start Founder's Pack in their Product Inventory in all regions but each pack is only claimable once. If a player has characters on multiple regions, whatever region they first claim the Jump-Start Founders Pack in will be bound to the region/roster it is claimed in. After that, they will no longer see the Jump-Start Founder's Pack in their Product Inventory if they log into characters on other regions. All original purchasers will see this pack in their Product Inventory, but they can only be claimed on Jump-Start Servers. The Jump-Start Founder's Packs will be the same as the original Founder's Packs, with two exceptions; 1) they will not include Royal Crystals, 2) the packs and the items within the packs will be roster-bound.

For a full list of the special progression events and rewards, checkout the Jump-Start Server Details Article.

Primal Island Battle Royale

Sail over to Primal Island and brace yourself — you’ll have to fight, steal, and survive against fierce competition in a new battle royale style event where you’ll drop into an arena to face off against other players and hordes of ferocious dinosaurs, fighting to defeat your opponents and be the last one standing. The arena is open to competitors Item Level 1490 and higher, but your Item Level and stats won’t help you much here. Players will need to scavenge gear during the match and upgrade it in real time.

Players can compete in the Battle Arena through the Registration Terminal, and can check the Battle Arena schedule in Procyon’s Compass. The Battle Arena opens at the following hours (server time), and can be registered for 30 minutes after the opening time.

  • Tuesdays/Thursdays: 11:00/13:00/19:00/21:00/23:00

  • Saturdays: 9:00/11:00/13:00/19:00/21:00/23:00

  • A sign will be shown before the Battle Arena’s appearance, and its appearance and disappearance will be announced.

Players can enter the Battle Arena after completing both the ‘Battle Arena: Laws of Survival’ and ‘Battle Arena: Final Training’ quests. To enter the Battle Arena, the character must be Item Level 1490 or above. Players can enter Battle Arena 3 times a day and 9 times a week per account in a region. Players can only enter Battle Arena in a single server even if they have multiple rosters in different servers.

After registering for the Battle Arena through the Registration Terminal, players will be moved to a waiting room. If a player leaves the waiting room after registering, the ‘Quitter’ debuff will be applied for a certain amount of time and re-entering will be restricted. The match will not proceed if the number of players in the waiting room does not match the minimum number of players required. In this case, the daily entrance count will not be taken away.

A quick mind and feet are the keys to success! Be the last one standing in the Battle Arena.

  • Players can pick their starting points in the Battle Arena.

  • Conventional Item Levels and combat stats are not applied in the Battle Arena.

  • In the Battle Arena, exclusive weapons and items are used to compete with others.

  • Players can upgrade their weapons for higher performance.

  • Players can use various ‘Survival Battle Items’ to get ahead in the competition.

When a player dies in the Battle Arena, the death info is shown to other remaining players. The player who dealt the final blow is shown, who is the last player to attack the dead within a certain time period. Resurrection is not available in the Battle Arena, and dead players can watch the remaining players’ battle, however, the chat system is restricted while participating in the Battle Arena.

Players can earn rewards based on their rank in the Battle Arena. Once a rank is determined, a player can get a reward designated for the rank achieved, and also the rewards for the lower ranks as well. Rewards can be claimed once a week per account in a region.

Yoz’s Jar & Amethyst Shard Shop

Yoz’s Jar is a new consumable that introduces a variety of Epic and Legendary skins. If you have a skin you don’t like or wear anymore you can dismantle it for Cloth, which can be used with a Jar (either Season 1 “Promise” or Season 2 “Leap”) to roll a new skin from a determined list. Yoz’s Jar and Cloth will be sold in the store. Cloth can also be obtained by dismantling Epic skins looted from Yoz’s Jar. Players can break down the skins that are no longer tradable (because the trade limit of 3 times has all been used up) into Cloth as well. The following skins cannot be dismantled into Cloth:

  • Normal grade skins.

  • Skins that were purchased with Crystals (not Royal Crystals) from the in-game store.

  • Skins that you received from content rewards or events.

Skin Creation

Once you have the 14 Cloth needed to create a new skin, you can use the Yoz's Jar to proceed with creating a new skin. Right click the Yoz's Jar from your inventory to open a skin creation window. This window shows a list of skins that you may be able to create and obtain. From this page, select the class and skin gear type that you want to create a new skin for. You must select an advanced class. Weapon skins that can be equipped by your current character's class will be displayed first. You can click on 'Preview' to see how the new obtainable skins will look on your character. For a video showcase of how the system works, please watch the Patchnotes video found at the start of the article.

Click on the 'Start Creation' button to start creating you new skin. You will either end up with an Epic grade skin and 1,000 Amethyst Shards, or get a Legendary grade skin. For the full list of odds, please visit the Lost Ark Odds page. After the skin creation is complete, all the materials that you've used will be gone. Legendary skins provide better benefits than Epic skins. No worries if you like a different skin more than the looks of your new Legendary one with bigger bonuses, you can ‘Overlay’ the skin you like over the Legendary skin. The Epic and Legendary Skins in Yoz’s Jar can be traded in the Auction House, so players can use Gold instead of Crystals to purchase.

Amethyst Shard Update

The Yoz’s Jar system will be updated to include 1,000 Amethyst Shards when the result is an Epic skin. As a part of this update, we’re adding new purchase options to the Amethyst Shop, including Silver, Dawn skins, and various reagents for players to customize their skins. The Dawn Skins will even be available for Slayer, Artist, and Aeromancer. We’re also committing to refreshing the Amethyst Shop once a year.

Yoz Jar Season 1 Legendary Skins: "Promise"

No Season 1 Skins are available for the Slayer, Sorceress, Artist, or Aeromancer. Season 2 includes all currently available classes.

Yoz's Jar Season 2 Legendary Skins: "Leap"

Many more Epic Yoz’s Jar skins are available in-game, and Cloth can also be used in the new Skin Crafting System— which is detailed later on in the Release Notes.

Events

Blooming Mokokos

Taking place every even-numbered hour, you’ll receive random amounts of Silver and Gold by finding blooming Mokokos. The more Mokokos you find, the better your chances! The event can be participated once per account (in a region) per day, and can be entered at Wavestrand Port.

Arktoberfest

As the nights grow longer and the summer pool parties draw to an end, the fall season of festivals celebrating community and kinship begins. Kindred in spirit to the original Oktoberfest, the world's largest Volksfest (people's festival), Arktoberfest is a time to build relationships, celebrate with friends old and new alike, all through the medium of an abundance of delicious food and drink. In the coming weeks, you'll find themed festival foods in-game at a token exchange and in Hot Time Events, and all-new cosmetics available as Twitch Drops to help you, your raiding parties, and your Lost Ark communities celebrate Arktoberfest together.

Players can earn valuable rewards from a Token Exchange, and can earn Event Tokens by participating in Chaos Dungeons, Guardian Raids, and the Blooming Mokokos event.
