Learn More About Alpha

June 10, 2021

Heroes of Arkesia,

As we work to prepare Lost Ark for launch, we’ll be inviting players to venture into Arkesia in our confidential Closed Technical Alpha Test. This test will allow players to experience many adventures and quests throughout Arkesia, but will not include all launch content. The test will run on Steam, starting June 11 at 12:00 noon PT (7:00 p.m. UTC), and closing June 16 at 12:00 noon PT (7:00 p.m. UTC) with servers in North America and Europe.

If you are interested in helping us test, sign up for your chance now. Testers will be invited as needed, with the first wave of players receiving Steam keys to enter Arkesia on June 11.

Confidential Closed Technical Alpha Test

Participation in this Closed Technical Alpha Test is confidential. Participation is covered by a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that testers agree to when logging into this test. Alpha Testers are not to share details about Lost Ark publicly, capture or share images or footage of gameplay, or publicly share details from the Official Closed Technical Alpha Test forums. The NDA (on a game which is publicly available in other regions) is due to the technical nature of the test; we are testing our live services for the first time and tester experiences will not represent Launch or even Beta gameplay quality.

As Lost Ark has been released in other regions already, the focus of this test will be on the technical aspects of the game and localization efforts. Participants in the Closed Technical Alpha Test are encouraged to share their experiences with our team and provide feedback on the Official Lost Ark forums. Instructions on how to create a forum account and gain access can be found below.

For any additional questions regarding Lost Ark or the Closed Technical Alpha Test, please visit our FAQ. If you’re experiencing an issue signing up or participating in the Closed Technical Alpha Test, you can contact our customer support team.

How to create a Forum Account

At this time, our Official Lost Ark forums are designed to support and engage our Closed Technical Alpha Test participants. During Beta, later this summer, these forums will become more publicly accessible. If you are a current tester, these forums are the best place to communicate directly with our team and other testers. As a tester, one of the first things to do before jumping into the game is to set up a forum account. You will need:

  • An Amazon account

  • A Steam account

  • A few minutes of your time

First, head to our forums and click the “Sign Up” button in the top right corner.

Next, follow the steps to log in to your Amazon account.

You will then be taken back to the forum landing page where you will need to enter your Username. We suggest you choose something close to your in-game name, so people can recognize you.

Once you have entered a suitable username, you will be taken to the welcome page. Click your avatar in the top right corner and then on your username and select “Preferences.”

Scroll down until you see “Associated Accounts” and click the “Connect” button next to Steam.

Follow the prompts to verify connecting your Steam account to your Lost Ark forum account.

Once you have finished that, you’re able to experience the Lost Ark forums!
