Chaos Dungeon & Kurzan Front

Each character in your roster can enter a Chaos Dungeon and/or Kurzan Front once a day.

Chaos Dungeons and the Kurzan Front are activities you can play daily in Lost Ark. Designed for solo or group play, they're fast-paced, time-limited encounters where players defeat waves of enemies to progress through multiple stages.

How to Enter

Use the [Alt+Q] menu to enter Chaos Dungeons or the Kurzan Front. This opens the quick content guide*, which provides shortcuts for both activities.

To participate, your character must meet the following requirements:

  • Character level 50+

  • Complete the "Afterimages of the Rift" quest in North Vern

  • Have at least 100 Aura of Resonance

*Note: If you have a high enough Item Level (1640+) and have completed "The Way Forward" quest in North Kurzan, the menu will show the Kazeros War Map instead.

Aura of Resonance

You need Aura of Resonance to participate in Chaos Dungeon and/or Kurzan Front activities. You get 100 Aura to spend every day*, which refreshes daily at server reset time.

Entering a Chaos Dungeon or Kurzan Front immediately consumes Aura. Leaving before you complete the activity means you lose the Aura you spent and any possible loot.

Remember: Aura is used to participate in Chaos Dungeons and Kurzan Front activities, so plan accordingly!

[Tip!] Don’t worry if you miss a few daily activities! For every 100 Aura remaining when the daily reset occurs, you'll get a +20 Rest Bonus. If your Rest Bonus reaches 40 or more, your next Chaos Dungeon clear will drop twice as much loot. You can have up to 200 Rest Bonus on your character.

*Note: Sometimes you can get Aura of Resonance Recovery Potions as an event reward. This is the only way to refresh Aura other than daily reset.

Objectives

Defeat enough enemies before the timer runs out!

Defeating enemies fills your Purification Gauge. When the gauge reaches 100%, you'll successfully clear the dungeon.

Note that in Chaos Dungeons, when you defeat enough enemies, a portal will open. The timer will reset each time you move through a portal. The Kurzan Front is a continuous battle.

[Tip!] A dungeon with a level closest to your character's item level will get you the best rewards. For example, a character with an item level of 1600 should enter a 1600 Chaos Dungeon.

Rewards

Get rewards as you defeat enemies and when you clear the dungeon!

Chaos Dungeons and Kurzan Front share similar rewards. The key difference is that Chaos Dungeons are for characters with an Item Level of 1620 or lower (Tier 3), while Kurzan Front is for characters with an Item Level of 1640 or higher (Tier 4).

Possible rewards:

  • Shards

  • Silver

  • Cube Entry Ticket

  • Destruction Stones

  • Guardian Stones

  • Ability Stones

  • Accessories

  • Fate Embers*

*Note: Fate embers are rare and may not show up in every Chaos Dungeon or Kurzan Front completion!

When you complete a Chaos Dungeon or Kurzan Front, you’ll get a completion reward as well!

[Tip] Equip a pet via the Pet Menu. They’ll automatically collect loot drops for you!

Weekly Purification System

The Weekly Purification System is a bonus reward that's exclusive to Chaos Dungeons. Each time you enter a Chaos Dungeon after you've completed it, you'll add 100 points to your weekly purification meter. As you fill the meter, you'll receive additional shards and silver to help progress your character through Tier 3.

Abyssal Dungeons

Each character in your roster can enter an Abyssal Dungeon once per week (resets on Wednesday).

Abyssal Dungeons are weekly group activities in Lost Ark that are essential to character and roster progression. These challenging dungeons require 4 players working together to defeat powerful bosses while executing specific mechanics. Each boss has an enrage timer, making mechanical execution and damage output crucial for success.

How to Enter

Use the [Alt+Q] menu to enter an Abyssal Dungeon. This opens the quick content guide, which provides a shortcut.

To participate, your character must meet the following requirements:

  • Character level 50+

  • Complete prerequisite quest for the specific dungeon

  • Meet the minimum item level requirement for the specific dungeon

Objectives

Each Abyssal Dungeon consists of multiple gates, with powerful bosses guarding each one.

To progress, your team must defeat the boss at each gate before moving to the next. The dungeon is complete only when all gates have been cleared successfully. Defeat the boss before they enter their berserk state while correctly executing mechanics like stagger checks and position-based challenges.

If your team doesn't make it through the battle, don't worry! You can retry the gate by reviving at the Battle Maintenance Station. However, you'll need to restart that specific boss encounter from the beginning.

Restrictions

Take time to prepare, you won't be able to make changes once inside!

Adjust your loadout at the Battle Maintenance Station before entering each gate.

  • Regular HP potions are not allowed in Abyssal Dungeons, but you can use battle items like Splendid HP Potions and Whirlwind Grenades. Remember, you can't swap battle items during boss encounters.

  • Equipment and skills are locked once you enter a gate, so make sure your setup is ready before starting!

[Tip!] Abyssal Dungeons have item level caps. If your level is too high for a dungeon, you won't receive rewards. Choose a dungeon appropriate for your current gear level.

Rewards

Abyssal Dungeons are a key source of valuable progression materials.

Each successful clear provides high-value refinement materials. Preview all possible rewards by checking the dungeon entry menu before you start.

When you first complete a Tier 2 Abyssal Dungeon, you'll receive a special ticket that lets you reset your weekly entry limit. Use this wisely to get extra rewards!
